Our Client Jelmac Properties engaged with our parent company Stepnell Group to build a new self store & warehouse unit at their site in Grantham.
Jelmac have a broad spectrum of properties from offices and industrial units to trade counters and warehouses. Most recent expanding into the self-storage market with purpose-built premises, which was a logical extension to their existing property portfolio. Jelmac are focused on reducing their carbon emissions ensuring renewable technologies are implemented into new and existing properties where possible.
Step Energy were appointed to install Solar PV to each new building during the main build programme. Self-Storage unit 96 415W roof mounted PV panels with 2x 20 KW Inverters, the 40 kWp system is estimated to generate 34,700 kWh annually saving an estimated 6.43 tonnes of CO2, the equivalent of planting around 295 trees. Spec unit 64 415W roof mounted PV panels with 1x 25KW Inverter the 26.5 kWp system is estimated to generate 28,080 kWh annually saving an estimated 4.4 tonnes of CO2 the equivalent of planting around 202 trees.
